In 1904, Louis Cartier promised his aviator friend, Alberto Santos Dumont, that he would design a watch to use and see whilst flying, hence one of the first ever wristwatches was created. This 2022 stainless steel Santos Dumont Medium brings all the characteristics of that original design back to life.
The square 43mm x 31mm satin finished steel case sits comfortably on the wrist. Its polished bezel with 8 exposed screws frames the brushed silver dial with roman numerals and blue steel hands. Even the winding crown has been carefully thought out with a beaded edge and a cabachon blue spinel.
Powered by Cartiers high autonomy quartz movement, lasting on average 4 times longer than a regular quartz. Fitted to a blue alligator strap with a steel pin buckle.
Fully complete with Cartier box, instructions and certificate.
